- Akhil got married in 1988, has three daughters and lives in Dallas, Texas. Akhil has always been the source of inspiration and humor for his family and friends. He has been asked to speak to corporations, churches and civic groups worldwide. Little did Akhil know that his speaking skills were being finely tuned for a specific purpose that would become evident in a few years. In 1999, Akhil was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a debilitating disease that has no cure. In 2007, Akhil suffered a crippling episode that forced him to re-evaluate his life and come to terms with his mortality. In the process of addressing his life, Akhil discovered an alternative therapeutic path in India. This path led to a healing that gave him his life back and provided a cure for an incurable disease! Akhil was back to his Pre-Multiple Sclerosis days! Surprised that his western doctors were unwilling to share his amazing news with others, Akhil decided to write a book to share his gift of his MS, his Motivational story. Combined with his speaking skills and armed with an inspirational message, Akhil is prepared to tell his story to anyone in need of hope.
